The SmallRig 4183B Camera Cage is a purpose-built protective rig for Sony’s FX30 and FX3 cinema cameras, designed to turn a compact body into the center of a fully expandable video production setup. The formfitting aluminum cage secures the camera using three 1/4″-20 screws — on the bottom and side — preventing twisting while keeping every button, dial, and port fully accessible, with rubber padding protecting the camera body from scratches.
At the top, a modular, removable NATO rail attaches via two 1/4″-20 screws, giving you a quick-mount platform for top handles, monitors, or accessories, while a lightweight HDMI cable clamp — built from PC and fiber for reduced weight — secures your HDMI connection against accidental disconnection during handheld or gimbal work.
